"MZ-2500 (SuperMZ) series - Launched in 1985, the computers in this series all used a Z80B processor running at 6MHz. They included a data recorder and at least one 3.5 internal floppy disk drive, as well as a YM2203 FM sound chip, hardware scrolling, and a palette of 256 colors (upgradable to 4096). This makes them among the most powerful 8-bit machines ever released for home use. Some models are also compatible with the MZ-80B and MZ-2000."

*Edit* a new bios was released today, grab it here http://www.megaupload.com/?d=7Q50ZSXU , if you don't use this then Mess will complain that phone.rom is missing

Archive with translated titles: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=QDR1471P
Archive with the original Japanese title names: http://www.megaupload.com/?d=OVG4NYYM

Password: tokugawacorporatepotato

Just grab both and you'll be fine:P

You will need the absolute newest SVN of Mess to run them which you can grab here: http://bobz38.free.fr/mess_autobuild/index.php

Put the mz2500.zip (system files) inside mess/roms folder and just unpack the games wherever you like.

Be aware that the Mess driver for this computer is only partially working, a good game to test just see if you have everything setup is "Back to the future".

And thanks to Kale for working on this driver!:)

Additional filename/mess compatibility info:

Code:
(Unk Arrow Soft) - 英雄伝説サーガ - Eiyuu Densetsu Saga
(unk Koei) Simulation War Game - 蒼き狼と白き牝鹿 - Aoki Ookami to Shiroki Mejika

Wow, that's a comprehensive set of emulators.. this guy's project has my full support, especially if he works on a PC-8001/8801 one.

strictly speaking the new progress is about MZ-2000, apparently the reduced cost version of the MZ-2500.
however the two systems were mostly cross compatible so it is indeed a MZ-2500 news ;)

I had some discussion with Anna about that.
Can I use MZ-2000 disks with the MZ-2500 driver?

I think you can now use mz2000 disks with mz2000 driver...

but I have no disks (yet) to actually check if mz2000 disks work on the mz2500

Just a little update on this topic.

To make work this set of roms with the last MESS version (0.143u2b) you must add the following:

MZ-2500: Voice communication ROM for the MZ-2500. Named as phone.rom
MZ-2521: IPL ROM of the MZ-2521. Named as ipl2521.rom

Links are provided by www.sharpmz.org

Excuse me, but is there a possibility for reupload of the game pack from the first post?

I think those are some of the files, but not sure about the BIOS file. I hope the OP does not object to the re-upload.

Edit: This might be it, not sure:
