Hello everyone
I recently got a 777c and I am interested in these files - could someone re-upload them?

Also, any instructions on how to burn floppies to run on the original hardware?

Thanks
Paul

I don't know if these are the correct files, but, in the absence of anyone else uploading, this is what I have:

Post subject: Sony SMC777 game dump?
PostPosted: June 3rd, 2016, 10:43 am
Hi everybody, I'm back! It's been a very long time since I was last here.

I got myself a Sony SMC777 emulator here (http://www.smc777.com/winsmc.htm), but the only games I can play are the built-in ones, so I wonder if there's any dump of other SMC777 games available out there. I already tried googling them by myself, to no avail, so I guess it's time to come back to this place. (Oh, how I have really missed this place!)

In this thread Anna Wu uploaded the MESS software list; but that damn sendspace deleted the file.

I would also be interested if anyone can upload it again...

Such a shame...
Maybe we can ask her to re-upload it?

This is my first post in TF; so....Hi to all!, it's nice to be here! ^_^

I'm an avid collector of Japanese computers and the Sony SMC-777 is one of my fave ones. Maybe it's far from the popularity of the mainstream machines like the NEC series, Sharp MZs or MSX ones; but it's still a great machine with an amazing hardware :)

Here's my contribution. It's a software pack that I collected time ago from the web (so it's nothing new); but it's a great idea to have it all at hand in the same thread:

http://www.sendspace.com/file/a9191m

The titles are (mainly games and some tools):

- Fruit Fields
- Ghost City
- Hover Tank Hetzer
- Mad Clash
- Mevious
- Rocker
- SMCPaint
- Solitaire
- Sony Filer14j
- Striker
- Tetris
- Vortex
- XOR777

Most of them need to be launched from Filer, others need BASIC. I've included Sony Filer 14j for this purpose...

I've some more titles that I need to check and I'll upload ASAP. I'm also interested in CP/M games compilation, like Zork series or Rogue like ones.
For now, I've only checked Sargon Chess and it works flawlessly with CP/M 2.2 :D

How do I use "Sony Filer 14j" to load these games? For example GHOST CITY is ghost.exe .. and it does not seem to recognized as a disk by the emulator. thanks so much in advance.

Here's another different set of games for the SMC-777:

Can't really help much with using them, but it's a few more in addition to the last pack that was posted. (Also a bunch of other systems included.)

Thank you very much!

If anybody can explain how to load/run the .BAS games / .COM games / .EXE games ....I would greatly appreciate it. Thank you in advance.

Thanks!, for SMC-777 pack and the others!

Mmmm, seems that Rassapiator doesn't works, I've tested it with WinSMC and MESS and it locks up with a faded boot screen.

@craiganderson:
To load .BAS you need Sony's Disk Basic, for the rest, you need to use the aforementioned Sony filer, simply select them with cursor keys and run them with ENTER.

Please note that some .COM files could be CP/M executables, of course to run them you need first lo load CP/M :-)
