I lost my download of the Hoot Archive to a hard drive failure and am dying to get it back again somehow, but the only torrent I can find for it online (http://www.nyaa.eu/?page=torrentinfo&tid=46021) is completely dead at the moment. Anyone here able to seed it or offer some other means of acquiring the archive? I'd be really greatful. :)

Thanks! What program would you recommend I use to download all those files en masse?

If you are using Firefox you can automate the download process to some extent using the DownThemAll! add-on. You have to enter each folder before downloading everything (right click, DownThemAll..), but that's a lot better than clicking on each link. Remember, before starting to do all that, in the DownThemAll configuration, under Filters, check Compressed files, so they're auto selected.

EDIT: Of course using torrents is the preferred way, I will make one soon. (unless there's a good reason why I shouldn't, like Knurek not liking the idea.)

If you're using a *nix system (mac included), you can simply use the wget command in the terminal.
Write

wget -r http://hoot.joshw.info/

and you should be fine.

If you're using windows, you can also use httrack ( http://www.httrack.com ), which is substantially wget with a GUI.

Nice! Thank you! It's much more convenient than the firefox addon.
