Wow, thank you very much for this BergerH

Now I don't have to wait until I visit my friend with a Marty console to dump it... I can finally try out XE :D

I'd like to be wrong every time in similar cases. In other words, kudos to you :)

Here are the roms, BergerH was first I see, but I don't like MegaUpload, and you'll have the original ones too.

http://parazythum.free.fr/Marty/

You have :
- Marty1.zip & CarMarty.zip : my roms dumped directly from my consoles
- Marty1XE.zip : the Marty1 rom for the XE Emulator

No need to convert your images to the file format supported by Xe: http://www.xe-emulator.com/index.php?m=download

Quote:
CD Image ripper

This utility will create a CD Image file used by Xe.

Just do the following:

... Start Xe, select Edit --> Settings.
... Select the Options tab and change the CD-ROM entry from default --> your Daemon Tools virtual drive letter e.g. F:\
... Select File --> Start Machine, select FM-Towns Marty and then click OK.
... Select File --> Insert Compact Disk, click CD-ROM and then OK.

It reads from the first CD drive letter available, so you must disable all the real drives (through the control panel). Also, ASPI is probably needed.

I haven't tried using the CD Image ripper. I don't see why you would need to though...

I just mounted my CloneCD image with Daemon Tools, did what I wrote above and away I went

I'm sure it does by why bother changing drive letters or disabling real drives when you just need to specify your virtual drive letter in the settings?

There's no way I'm going to mess about converting all my FM Towns images just for one emulator... Anyway, would take way too long considering I have over 400 games

Glad to hear you've got it working :D

I wonder, if Marty 1 and Marty 2 have any differences in their roms?

Nope, certainly not. Same hardware, why should the roms be different?

Thanks to parazythum & BergerH for providing the Marty roms! :D
