The file I downloaded from eMule contained an early demo release of Frog Feast and not the marty.rom file

I find it weird that Unz let's you select the Marty model despite that
I thought the same thing...

I guess there are some differences in emulation. Otherwise I would have thought that simply renaming would work.
Maybe you just have to join the files in a specific order or need to use a ROM interleaver.

I couldn't find actual trace of a Marty rom either, just the information that the rombeger files that come with Unz are there for dumping roms.
Same here. Below is the
sample.bat found in the
Unz\rombeger directory:
Code:
echo off
rem USAGE: rombeger [ROM No.0-9] [drive]
rem ROM No.0: fmt_sys.rom(256KB)
rem ROM No.1: fmt_fnt.rom(256KB)
rem ROM No.2: fmt_dos.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.3: fmt_dic.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.4: fmt_f20.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.5: mar_ex0.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.6: mar_ex1.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.7: mar_ex2.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.8: mar_ex3.rom(512KB)
rem ROM No.9: mytowns.rom(32BYTE)
rem [drive] 0:current 1:a:\ 2:b:\
rombeger 0 1
rombeger 1 1
rombeger 2 1
rombeger 3 2
rombeger 4 2
rombeger 9 2
Someone with an actual Marty console would need to have rombeger.exe on a 1.2MB floppy disk and run something like:
rombeger 5 1
rombeger 6 1
rombeger 7 1
rombeger 8 1
The trick would be getting the rombeger file onto a 1.2MB formatted disk... I could do this using my 3 way USB drive, fomatting using FORMAT A: /A:1024 /T:77 /N:8 /U and finally copying the file across in DOS. Also, after 2 roms are written you would need to use another disk...
Maybe when I visit my friend in a few months time who has a Marty console we could give it a try
Alternatively, if anybody on this forum has a Marty console and feels like having a bash at it I could create the necessary disk and image it using OmniFlop. You could then use OmniFlop to write the image back to floppy and away you go. Hopefully...
