What replacement PSU did you exactly used? I know standard ATX, but model and its model no. might help.

A whatever ATX PSU is good with enough power on output (not under 130W)

I shared your details to my repairman, and he still thinks it might be risky. Perhaps a repairman from another place might work better.

Tell your "repairman" to change job.I replaced my FM-TOWNS PSU with no issue as well other people reported to have successfully done it.If he is not able to follow my instructions on NFG forums, I suggest you to ask another more skilled repairer.

Thanks, caius. Most repair shops in my area only focus on repairing modern day computers.

I wonder what's the closest recommended repairer to Chattanooga, Tennessee?

I might be able to afford shipping the unit sometime.
