If I have no more choices in repairing it, then I might as well trade the whole unit set for either a working model or exchange for currency.

Is there a update with your HR20??
Can you repair something?

I also have a HR20, but in my Case, the CDROM doesn´t read anymore...
All other works. What i also needed, was the Cable to connect the SCSI HDD to the interal Connector.

Any suggestions?

Hi. Nice to meet you. I am sure my power supply is going to be replaced with maybe an external one. As for my CD drive, I'm not sure about its status.

*bump*

Currently, my repairman is either still searching for the schematics to the PSU circuit board...

OR

...a converter that converts a 24-pin to a 16-pin.

This just in that a 16 pin PSU with 150w must be found. Or try to get a missing component if the repairman knows.

The heat sensors might also be affecting the power off actions.

my friend did a fantastic job with the power supply of my towns 20F.

he completely replaced it with basic power supply for PC and did connect the required voltage and ground with the connector of the original power supply.
he has to add a power button on the back as the front power button of the towns will not work anymore. he explain me it is because of a specific ic chip in the original power supply that Fujitsu used to power on the computer to the front power button.

I don't know but from what he told me, he just tried to locate on the connector of the original power supply what is the pinout for each pins (voltage, ground and other) then just took the connector itself and wired another basic power supply with the required voltage.

As you can see in the picture i attached in my previous post. So i think that anyone with basic knowledge of electronics can do that. He simply did a "Adapter" kind of.

he did a little video when he was able to make it work. sorry its in french and he is talking to me in the vid but anyway you can see a little of his work in the video. https://vimeo.com/166300852

He said you need a power supply that have -12v, +12v, 5v and ground and i think it has to be a AT power supply and not a ATX. So you need to make your own power button on the power supply also to boot up the fm towns. the voltages are from the 20F but i think it should be the same for your model.

if you want a brand new one, i know startech still sell them brand new.

https://www.startech.com/ca/Computer-Parts/PSUs/AT-Power-Supplies/230-Watt-Replacement-PS2-AT-Power-Supply~PS2POWER230

But if you want to make sure the board can fit in your towns, check the dimensions. My friend was able to one the power supply board in the original power supply case of the towns.
