Today I was battling with UNZ and XE trying to get towns emulation working to no avail. I thought that I should try MESS because I hadn't looked at it in years and to my surprise it's playing FMT games quite well. Now I need try to get UNZ/XE working.

I downloaded the latest messUI from http://messui.1emulation.com/, Emuparadise gave me a working bios set and I loaded up flashback with CDDA from an image (no mounting needed!) The intro was a little slow compared to other systems, but that may be the usual towns speed. I couldn't work out some of the buttons - such as 'activate', maybe someone can let me know how to use/remap it.

MESSui Notes:
For those that can't remember how to set up mame style paths, make a folder called 'roms' and drop the bioses in there zipped.
example: messui168_64bit\roms\fmtownsmx.zip
CD images must be unpacked.
Floppy images & bios roms can remain zipped.
Since 2015, Mame & MESS are merged, so type in 'FM' to jump to the system in the list. Right click & audit the roms.
Mess warns that these systems are not working, but they work fine.
Under the file menu there is 'show tab menu' which brings up the dipswitches menu you would normally find in mame.

Enjoy!
