I've the few threads here on installing DOS and TownsOS via Unz but nothing on how to do it on real hardware. I have an FM Towns Fresh and the original HDD died. I've since bought 3.5" SCSI CF card adapter so I can use it for the HDD which has been done before by a guy on 2ch.

My problem is that the only system disc I have V2.1 L10 of TownsOS which was made before the Fresh and when I insert the CD, it says program cannot be read. Using Free Software Collection 11, I boot up to the OS and try to install the latest OS from there but my CF drive is not present. Looking at the card adapter, it is lighting up with power and access lights so I am assuming that is OK.

Would appreciate any advice!
