Note: this thread has been re-created using information that was learnt from an old thread. Many thanks to the person who originally posted this...

The following information relates to the CloneCD image of Rainbow Islands *Extra* that can be found via eMule.

Unfortunately the CloneCD image is missing the required IPL sector. Here's how to get it running in Unz:

... Insert a bootable game CD in your CD / DVD drive or mount a bootable image using Daemon Tools.
... Start Unz, select Settings --> Properties...
... Select the CD-ROM2 tab, tick Substitute IPL sector when boot fails, click Create IPL image and then click OK. This creates a file called cdipl.bin which will be located in your Unz directory.
... Exit Unz.
... Insert the Raibows Islands *Extra* CD in your CD / DVD drive or mount the image using Daemon Tools.
... Start Unz.

Now the game will boot successfully

... or follow what I'm telling in my article about home-made cd compilations for fm-towns, on the Tokugawa Corp site - it is possible for all CD games :

- use an utility to mount a virtual CD with the cloneCD image
- create an ISO image of this CD
- modify it with the IPL utility (read my article for this part)
- burn the result or mount it in your preferred virtual cd utility

Done !
