I've loaded a disk image into M88 and a few other emulators and haven't been able to get it to run. In M88 it just rapidly reboots. PC88Win just boots back into the normal screen except in certain modes in which it boots to a black screen (yes, I waited).
Does anyone have any tips for booting a troublesome disk image?

Well, does it work on other emulators?

Also, does M88 "eject" the disk (It's listed as not being in the drive) when this happens?

No, it doesn't work in other emulators (at least niether PC88Win nor x8800). It looks like the disk is still "inserted" in M88.
Edit: Perhaps I should mention that the game I'm trying to open is called Savior

Are you sure it's a good dump?

No, I guess I'm not. I'm not even sure where I got it. Is that typically how bad dumps behave?
EDIT: This game is also supposedly a PC-98 game, but when I extracted the files they were d88's. Kinda weird, but I suppose many games were released for both systems.
EDIT2: My bad. It WAS a PC-98 game. I didn't know they used d88 files. Thanks for trying to help me!

Unfortunately for the average emulator user, D88 images can be:

PC-98 games
PC-88 games
x68000 games
Probably some other stuff.

D88 is supported by all major X68K emulators.
I's probably the only format you can play Silent Moebius in.

Admittedly I don't have a lot of X68k games, but my surprise comes from the fact that of all the ones I do have, none of them are .d88's. o.o
