Another day, and things are looking up. Sharebee went flaky on me yesterday, dropping the connection after upload and not returning the link. Several times. GRRRRrrrr. It's co-operating today though.

Next comes "Unsorted", and there are a LOT of files in there - over 700. They are a mixed bag, as one might expect - most are .d88s, but there are ones with text files, graphics, and what-not. I will send them as I find them, but it is slow going as many archives contain several files that I have to sort out, understand and rename. Of course, there are probably many dups of what has come before, but some might be different versions, so be careful about trashing them, you might delete the long-lost Lode Runner with Full Symphony Orchestra Soundtrack LOL!

That just leaves some tapes to come, and to decide how to deal with the Documentation folder. It consists of a lot of text files, some scans, and some web-page mirrors from way back. I am thinking of uploading it firstly as found, which will be of interest only to those who read Japanese. Then, secondly, to make a smaller set of some of the lovely scans in there, for those who do not want the whole thing. Any opinions?

At the end will be a small set of fills that currently still need working on ( in other words I don't know what they are LOL! ).

peter, really appreciate your hard work.
Just my opinion but beginning with smaller set might be good idea so we know what to expect in the full set.

Firstly, one I forgot! This folder is called "Verified through end". I assume from what I am told that the PC88 world is plagued with bad dumps, and that some of these bug out during the game. The files in this folder have presumably been played through to the end ( though you have to be a real master to do that with Championship Lode Runner LOL! ).

1. I have taken the best of the scans - in fact MOST of the scanned documents from the documents and a few of the already-uploaded folders and put them in a "selected" file here ( numbering backwards for docs! ):

2. I have taken the original documents folder and split it into 2 and put it up at the links below. There are a lot of text files, html files, a few site mirrors, spreadsheets, maps, you-name-it! But unless your computer is set to Japanese and you can read Japanese you might waste your time grabbing these.

We finally come to the end - it has been a renaming marathon!

I'd like to thank again the kind ( anonymous ) gentleman who sent me the CD all those years ago. If you've got any more, you know where to send them LOL!

I'd like to say a huge thank-you to Danjuro without whose translations this would have not have been possible. He has also shown a LOT of patience, politeness and cheerfulness in responding to my numerous clueless requests for assistance. As they say over here - "Shot, bru!".

Cyber Magic, a magic-dueling game:




Urazardry 2, a maze crawl which I think has some adult content:




Boot it Drive 1 (Disk 1) and Drive 2 (Disk 2) then switch to:

Drive 1 (Disk3) at the disk change prompt.

Urazardy the original appears to be an adventure game, once again with some light adult content:



Boot both those games with x88000, the other emulators don't seem to cut it.

A lot of these doujin games are really, really rare.

The second CD I found is the one with the PC88 Game World Library on. I am told that this is quite common, and that the games on it are likewise quite common. There certainly does not seem to be much that was not on the first CD. Danjuro once more very kindly translated the directory list for me, and I figured I might as well extract and rename the stuff. I obviously cannot remember the few thousand names on the first CD, and there are variations in the naming between the CDs, so de-duping between them is a mission too far for me, as it were. So I am renaming, but at a much slower pace. For those that are interested, I have put the first lot up, as it seems silly not to share:

Be warned though that you probably have virtually all of this!

One issue is whether there are any issues putting up the web-based "Library" itself. I am not sure if it is still sold, but the only web mirror I can find has many broken graphics. Maybe there are those who want it ( NOT translated LOL! ), but I do not want to cause a problem. It is a version from about 2001, so it might be out of date, and it would be a big upload. Please let me know opinions about this - thanks.
