Here is a pack with all the utilities (filers excluded) I could come across regarding the PC-88.

http://www.sendspace.com/file/jcnixs

Pass is FMV

I have very few material on the non-gaming side of the PC-88, and have enjoyed a lot what has been posted on that regard in another thread close to this one (Thank you peter_j!), so if anybody is feeling like taking a look and sharing some other utilities, I would be delighted.

Thank you very much, Snakemeat, especially for the education titles (a genre I find as creepy as fascinating ;).

Just for the info, Magic Paint is working if you start it in V1 mode. Also, Music with Obie is the co-title of Animal Quartet.

Wow! A lot of searching.

I couldn't find any of the games you requested in the request thread except for a file called Misty3, which might or might not be Misty 3. I did find a set for PC-98 though ( not included below, just ask if you need it ). I did find a Winky Soft program and included it - no idea what it is.

On the utilities front I have put together what I could find that was not duplicated in your set ( one or two might duplicate snakemeat's ones, and there might be some dups because of different names or my being cross-eyed and stupid ).

A BIG thank you for the CP/M in your set - I am a bit of a CP/M collector!

There are some music-related disks too.

Two shots of one:

As usual, some are unknown, and I have NOT run every one of the included disks, so please take what you find "as is"! If I have included some unwanted "filers" please forgive me.

File is at http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/incomp/Utils1.zip

Thank you a lot, Peter_j.

I have yet to figure why those Misty games seem to be so elusive on the PC-88 ;)

For info :
SUPER_t_II.D88 is Super Shunbo Primary II
Unknown3 is Ultra Monogatari
unknown_aa is Kokyaku Kanri Meibo
unknown_K2 is Yukar K2 (features an extra utility disk, and might be a different version number than Snakemeat's)
unknown_mini [2HD__] is Yukar Mini
(those are not a typo I think, "Yuukara" seems to be Ainu language, although a single of their product displays Yukara in the title screen... Hmm, ponder ponder...)

Also, fc_software_sound_system_1 seems to be music disk that didn't appear before (to me at least, but I think Snakemeat will be interested as well) : Sound Board 1 Ongaku Disk.

Thanks for all the utils!

I have this one in my set named as FC-Software SB1 Music Disk (1994-12-30)(FC-Software). Did I misname it? Is FC-Software SoundBoard1 Ongaku Disk (1994-12-30)(FC-Software) the correct name? I will change it if I was wrong. I had to guess on some of the titles with Japanese text.

I don't think filers are unwanted, I think it is because there is another thread with filers. I could be wrong though. I wouldn't mind seeing new filers if any appear.

Just means I was half-sleepy as usual, when trying to sort this all out ;)

As for names, I certainly won't interfere with your work : some people prefer translation for everybody to understand while others prefer the real name stricto-senso - an eternal debate (N'est-ce pas, Kaminari ;).

Edit : I just didn't include filers because I store them separately, as they tend to crowd a folder (and are just as not much "fun" as regular apps to me ;)

Here is an archive :

Thanks for the filers, for some reason I find them very cool. Maybe because they used to amaze me in the Apple II days of my past.

Regarding the naming, Knurek has cleared it up for me, by explaining that Ongaku == Music (I'm still a bit new to the Jp language). I'm currently aiming for titles I can understand, but am open to corrections. I want to get the collection as correct as possible. I appreciate the input.

Can anyone reshare any of the packages above, specially "http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/incomp/Utils1.zip"?

Try now - I *think* it is the same file.

Edit.

I think these are a couple of the others. Pass=FMV if needed.

http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/incomp/Utilities.rar
http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/incomp/PC ... _pw_FMV.7z
http://www.blackdiamond.co.za/incomp/Filers.rar

(Found in a folder called "Store" - the file creation dates are right though.)
