Really? That's great! I wasn't able to play CD games natively since I switched to Seven 64 bit. I only managed to play them through a virtual machine, but that solution cuts off entirely the CD Audio tracks.

Is the Nero Aspi constinting only in the wnaspi32.dll file?
I've put it in the syswow64 folder and M88 recognizes it and allows the CD option but either with regular M88 and the new unofficial build it doesn't read the CD and just hangs after some time, trying to read the CD without success. :(

EDIT: I've tested another CD game (takarabako) and it works both in regular M88 and in the unofficial build, while Mirrors isn't working. It's strange since some time ago, while I still was on XP it was working fine. I'll try burning another copy of the Mirrors CD and see if there are improvements.

You need to have ASPI drivers installed on your system.

I have them, tested Mirrors and it boots fine. Now I only want to know which files M88 needs for CD emulation, because I like to keep my directory layout nice & clean.

For the CD emulation you need CDBIOS.ROM and cdif.m88.

However, I've figured out the general problem with CD Emulation in Seven 64 bit, it hangs everytime the emulator tries to read a CD Audio track. I guess it's because the 64 bits or maybe my DVD reader doesn't work well with ASPI... :(

Just what I thought. Thank you Snake for clarifying my doubts.

New update for M88 supporting MAME FM module and other features:

Link (pass: 8801): http://www1.axfc.net/uploader/File/so/72475
Mirror (no pass): http://www.mediafire.com/?2gjkkp22pmt0kd4

mamefm.dll available here:
Link (pass: 8801): http://www1.axfc.net/uploader/File/so/72473
Mirror (no pass): http://www.mediafire.com/?8l4wsda7yj9rrxw

To enable mamefm, put the dll in the same folder as the emulator and add the line FMGenDll=mamefm.dll to the ini file.

Here's a preconfigured setup with the newest version of the emulator and MAME FM enabled:

I've overwritten the old exe in the previous preconf pack with the new one and edited the m88.ini file, I guess it's the same... :)

A bit of a newbish question concerning this. I've just gotten M88, but I've not figured out exactly what files it needs to start working. Google translate on the guys' homepage wasn't that helpfull.

The preconfigured setup has all the required files.

I've found this out before. But now my question is far more technical.

How do you start it again ? I knew how before, but I haven't touched PC 88 in like two years and I got a different computer in the meanwhile, so I'm pretty clueless.

I only found a tutorial on emu navi.

http://emunavi.com/e/menu/howto/m88/m88.htm

But I can't exactly tell what I need to do. If the game I'm trying to run (Shinra Bansho) has 2 disks, then do I put both of them in at the same time and so input 2 as the number of files ?

And finaly, what file name should you input for when you load ? I press F 12 and it shows me the load thing but whether I input Shinra or Shinrabansho it doesn't seem to do anything.

No, after you've opened the file which contains the Shinra Bansho's disks, you should click on disk, then go on drive 1 and select the first disk. Then, disk, drive 2 and select the second disk.
Then, press f12 to reboot the emulator (or go to control, reset) and the game should boot fine ;)

I did and the "how many files" screen popped up. :?
