If you are into DOS emulation (or maybe want to play some DOS/V games or korean originals, some links are posted somewhere on the board) then DOSBox is for you! Information about DOSBox can be found everywhere, google it.

However, stable DOSBox releases can be very spaced between each other. But the SVN repository is updated constantly, so...

Taewoong offers some SVN builds in his page, made with latest SVN along some fixes (some nice ones if you ask me.)

So, why don't you check it out?

If you have some free time you can post your opinion on this SVN build, too. :)

They plan to work on 3dfx cards emulation. That'd rock.

Actually, Voodoo support has been integrated into experimental builds for a couple of years. Tomb Raider, for example, can run reasonably well.

I've used Ykhwong's builds for many years, but he incorporates too many unstable patchs which can radically change from version to version. I now prefer going back to barebone SVN builds, available here.

Yeah, you can guess it by just looking at the changelog. However, I didn't knew that it was that unstable.

Nov. 10. 2010 build available, 3dfx voodoo updates, more compatibility (at least it says so on the changelog)

Anyways, keep in mind what Kaminari-san pointed out about this particular SVN build and stability.

A new build is available, DOSBox SVN 0.74 (11. 21. 2010) For Windows

WHAT'S NEW
=============
1. Based on SVN r3661
2. Fixed: LABEL command worked only once.
3. Changed "Exit Alt-F9" to "Exit Ctrl-F9" in menubar (typo)
4. Restart (Ctrl-Alt-Home) works under Windows without administrative previlege.
5. Applied other h-a-l-9000's patches except DOS idling.
* See also http://home.arcor.de/h-a-l-9000/ (megabuilds) for details.
* Take a look at some changes in dosbox configuration file. (cputype, sblaster opl, render, and so on)
* If you are running Win95 inside DOSBox, please install S3 801/805 driver (video card).
6. Fixed some minor bugs.
