Space Dynagon
Also known as the one game in the Murasame series in which Raechel doesn’t suck. Space Dynagon bears a misleading resemblance to the SNES shooter Pocky & Rocky. Yes it has a main character who flings paper charms, yes it is a run n’ gun… and that’s where the similarities die. Space Dynagon is a game about blowing up space plants; tons of them. They typically come from flower pot generators which you must also destroy.
You have two main actions: your basic attack and digging up holes in the ground. After you dig up a hole, any old space plant can fall into it and it traps them for awhile. But what you’re really supposed to do is use the dig button to bury an enemy that just fell in your hole and then you step on them. This creates an ignition of sorts which instantly blows up any nearby space plants. Now, this is somewhat a tricky tactic to pull off without getting hit so it’s advisable to only do this when it really helps. And it really helps when you’re completely surrounded by space plants. Thus your ignition can quite possible blow up everything you see on the screen and continue off-screen if the appropriate situation comes along. Something like this:
All in all, Space Dynagon is a fair game which will last most people ten hours at the very most. You can repeatedly beat easy mode to unlock all four characters and perhaps beat normal mode once. There really isn’t much more to do than that unless you want to collect all of the obscure icons hidden in secret places in the ground or beat dynamite mode which isn’t fun since merely touching a single space plant instantly kills you.

Note: Radical R helped immensely with getting this game to work on my system and this upload reflects the changes he made to dynagon.exe. If you want to use the original dynagon.exe that wouldn’t work on mine and most other people’s systems, just delete this “dynagon.exe” and replace it with “dynagon.bak.”
