It is easy to make a batch file to convert .MZF to .MZT. which is working on MZ700WIN.

You need following 3 tools:
mzf2wav.exe
wavext.exe
tapeload.exe

mzf2wav myfile.mzf myfile.wav
wavext 1 22050 8 myfile.wav
tapeload myfile.new.wav
copy /b header.dat+out.dat myfile.mzt

Neat trick!. I believe that I've seen something like this in a MZ-2000 devoted page....I can't remember...

I usually transfer the images to QD disks. The process shares some step as it involves WAV generation:

1) Patch the .mzf to avoid auto-boot
2) mzt2wav holy-a.mzf holy-a.wav
3) sox --norm holy-a.wav -u -r 22050 -c 1 -b 8 holy-a_2.wav
4) lame -b 80 -m m -h -q 0 -k holy-a_2.wav holy-a.mp3
5) Load the MP3 in the real machine
6) Once finished, save the result to a QD with "QS" command.

Only Basic 5Z0001 needed some extra tweaking as it loads from $0000 and it conflicts with MZ-1500 memory map.

You should show the non-PCG version of Mappy as well. That one is certainly a unique port

Galaga, ThunderForce and Xevious?, they're all true classics :), specially Galaga that seems to be a very decent version. The fourth seems to be a MZ-700 game; but being from Kazuhiro Furuhata must be good, this man is a real genius with gems like "Eugea" or "Side Roll" amongst others. He probably has programmed the best MZ-700 games.

 MZ-700's Mappy looks really funny (and weird); but PCG-700 version is an absolute rarity. There're a very small library of games for the MZ-700+PCG-700 platform.

Way cool!!

Perfect, thanks!
I see some of the games Anna posted in the previous screenshots aren't included (Galaga, Mario Bros, Ice Block, etc.), were those ever shared?

Do you happen to have any Japanese MZ-700/80K games by the way? Most of the stuff I can find are from the European releases.

Yep, in fact I've uploaded again the old pack from peter_j. It's plenty of MZ-700/MZ-80K software!

MZStuff.zip

In case you didn't found it before, here's a page with some downloads of a great shooters saga:

ZEPLIS

Enjoy!

Thanks, seems most of that pack is from TOSEC though which I already have and mostly consists of European games.
I was looking for Japanese exclusive releases which seem to be very scarce, I think Mappy is one of them or is that a homebrew?

Does anyone have service manual or documentation for MZ-1500 besides schematics?

Thanks

Martin
