Along those lines, I had a question about Illusion City. What are these two English disks? I realize it's just a simple and incomplete menu translation and not much else, but where did they come from? I looked into the files and the modified by date for these is at the end of '91 and beginning of '92 (around when the PC-98 version came out). Is it an abandoned official translation that they were working on while finishing up the PC-98 port? And if so, how did these disks even get out?

I think those english disks may have come from this forum about 7-8 years ago. I'm not sure when because the disks were torrentzipped already with the date set to 1996/12/24. Inside the disks, it looks like the translation was done without modifying the file dates, so it's impossible to know exactly when it's from. However, the last save files are from 2010-2011.

Maybe somebody with a better memory than me can tell us more about them.

Thanks for another great update! Was looking forward to seeing what you had for Micro Cabin (Elmknight CD, fucking nice).

Super interesting, man.

Thanks al32gabby! for digging up the old thread.

So the translation never got very far, and I don't even have the last release. Unless there are objections, I think I will drop the incomplete english disks from the Neo Kobe set.

Seeing the company "Starcraft" always throws me off.
