Hi all,
I'm preparing a release of a new X68000 HDD image , I'll post it over NFG forums.I have installed a lot of games not included in the other images.Right now I'm trying to install on HDD a game called AMS2 (it doesn't have a proper installer) , it's a cool shooter that reminds me of Gyruss. But I'm facing some problems since game requires a whatever disk (or disk image since I'm working under emulator) to be inserted in order to boot properly
Could someone more sklled than me (perhaps 'delicious'..) take a look at this, please?Sadly I'm not a great ASM coder. But I think task will be pretty easy, it's matter of patching with NOP instructions some bytes like done for this other game:

Here's the archive with all game files extracted to, simply run !START.BAT, loading will start but hang at some point but if you insert a whatever disk before launching !START.BAT then the game will succesfully boot.

The only dump floating around that I know about has a very, very weird issue where it works on emulators but not the real hardware.

I seem to remember that START.BAT has some hardcoded paths that need changing? That might get you running from the hard drive on an emulator but on a real machine you'll still run into weirdness.

Best guess is that the game had on-disk protection that was hacked around improperly and/or the game was hacked to work around emulator bugs that existed at the time, with unpredictable results.
