Hello friends, just got the latest xm6i running in my mac, and was wondering if there are any hd image with a bsd installation, in order to experiment with it on the emulator. I'm asking, because the installation of it manually could be tricky if you don't understand japanese, as happens with me.
Thanks in advance!!!

If you need a real dump of IPLROM30.DAT to avoid a warning notice of XM6i, contact me.

Thanks for the links!!!. This weekend will be very entertaining. Do you know why the emulator(xm6i) give a warning regarding CGROM.DAT?. The rom is in the emulator directory and available, but maybe is telling some other thing. The problem is that i don't understand japanese, so getting the system configured was a trial/error session.
As i said, thanks very much for the links!.

I not know your settings and ROMs. Use the files from my link.

I'm using the files on your link, including the roms. I have been able to boot from the installdisks, and configured the harddisk, but is the hd image already with an installation, or is empty and needs an installation?. I i don't put any floppies, should it be capable of booting into bsd directly?. I tried, but get a black screen with a japanese text, that i think is a error for no system disk found, or so.
Since i have been experimenting with it, i came across a page that has a image of a working bsd installation already on disk and downloaded it, but no luck getting it booting. Is any special needed in the config to make it bootable, or only selecting it in the menus as scsi drive should work?.
Thanks in advance!!!

NetBSD is already installed on the harddisk image and bootable. Check the readme file(s) and the path for the ini/xmx file.
Also check the path for the harddisk image and ROMs in the xmx file.
The paths inside of the ini/xmx files are matched for my computer and its paths.
So change the paths if necessary.

Thanks for the reply. The paths were modified pointing to the paths in my machine. Could be it the reason that i'm using ver. 0.42 of the emulator?. I noticed that there are more options in the config file than in previous versions, other than that, the configuration of drives remain the same, only thing that changes is the paths. Still, the emulator behaves as if the disk were nonexistent. Still experimenting with it.
Any ideas are appreciated as always. Thanks for the help!

Thanks for the screenshots!. I will keep them handy for future installations. I erased everything and began from ground up and now, the system is working. I can log perfectly!.
Thanks a lot for the help!. Will keep experimenting and posting here if anyone else needs help as well.

You can try the new version of XM6g (xm6_typeg_310_20131107.zip) with my harddisk image.
Don´t forget to enable the FPU (68881/68882)
No need to abort the Updating motd. task

Thanks for the info about the new version. This new update comes with two exes, one for 64 and another for 32, and it works perfctly now on my win7 machine. Seems that the issue i was having had to do with the 64bit operating system.
Will give a try with bsd as soon as i finish my duties.
Thanks!
