Is there a way to add more players than the basic two of Anex86? Because, it's boring when you need to switch between 4 floppies and I don't tell you when there are ten of them.

So far as I remember me exist a plug-in (device) called "GDC.nhw" for the screen settings.

Here the unofficial English version of the T-98 Next build from May 23 2010.
You don't need all plugins because some are out of date but I added these due the translation.

Thanks, the English version somehow doesn't work for me, but I found the option to change the size in the Japanese one. Doesn't seem to have any settings for the scanlines, but at any rate it's now better than having the window go beyond the dimensions of my screen. The plugin allows to set a directory for screenshots - what is the hotkey for them?

The info doesn't help, what does not work?
These T98-Next test versions react very sensitive if the settings are incorrect and/or the wrong plugins were selected and activated.

I suggest to use NP2 which have your requested features like to enable/disable the Scanlines etc.

Hmm, with this version I was not able to get a sound on Win95.
The sound support on Win3.1 is ok.

Hi all,

I recently got a JXD S7800B Android tablet as an emulation machine. I'm mostly interested in Japanese games on platforms that were never released in the West. So, last weekend I got Neko Project II (NP2) running.

Anyway, the are currently three versions of NP2 that I have managed to get working.

1. Sourceforge: Neko Project II for Android
One to avoid. Last updated 2012-02
http://sourceforge.net/projects/np2android/files/
- broken full screen option
- missing UI options

2. F-Droid: Neko Project II for Android
Currently the best option. Fixed version of the above. Last updated 2013-04
https://f-droid.org/wiki/page/jp.sawada.np2android
+ keyboard mapping (the abcd buttons can work as certain keys)
+ virtual keyboard
- blurry graphics in full screen mode
- awkward soft menu access to NP2 menu

Still, things are quite usable at this point. I will share the JXD7800.key mapping file soon.

BUT!

I then found a third version that requires some setup but has better/faster emulation. It comes without a readme, but does have a helpful screenshot of the directory setup.

3. Turboz: Neko Project II
The desired option. Last updated 2014-06
http://turboz.to/sandbox/
+ pixel perfect fullscreen
+ faster, more accurate emulation
+ simply touch the screen to access NP2 menu
+ (also available for Mac and Windows)
- requires bios and font rom files (easily found)
- hardware or USB keyboard required
- no virtual keyboard
- no keyboard mapping

Cheers,
matt

It looks like there's a new version of Neko Project II that was released last week, v.0.84:

http://www.yui.ne.jp/np2/

According to the update.txt file, it should support now the games:
G.I.M.I.C、C86BOX、RE:birth

It also fixes some bugs, such as the one preventing hostdrv from working on np2nt.exe

Until now, I was using "Neko ProjectⅡfmgen(0.83 kai8 VC6b)" which seems to be a fork. Should I keep using it, or should I use this new release instead?

Thanks for the info.

Gimic is a USB multichip sound board. C86Box, I believe, is a pass-through to connect old CBus-based cards on modern PCs.

I am trying to find the source code of the PSP port of Neko Project 2, but I have not had luck. I have found the binaries, but not the source code, and I don't know if it was not released, or maybe I can't find it due to my null Japanese knowledge...

Anyone has the source code of this port? I am really interested because it seems that the programmer (sakahi) did some very interesting experiments to increase the performance, and I would like to learn from them, and eventually apply those changes to the Xbox port that I am working on...
Thanks in advance.

That is exactly what I was looking for, but I was unable to find it, as I don't know Japanese. Thank you very much! :D
