Yup, that would be the case.

Although it's very worrying to see them use an online translation for their english description on the iTunes page.... either that, or they must have employed a rubbish translator

Let's hope that the in game text gets a better treatment!

Murder Club has been ported on the iPad as well, but for some odd reason it doesn't appear to be bilingual. At least English is not mentioned in the supported languages.

The iOS versions are just ports of the DS games, aren't they? The publisher, althi, also made the DS remake of Kohaku-iro no Yuigon (the first game in the 1920 Todo Ryunosuke series), and a bunch of new sequels for mobile phones. Another 1920 games is also on DS, called Aen no Hakobune. It looks like they have ported everything to iOS.

Yeah, i think they're pretty much ports. Obviously they're taking full advantage of the crisp visuals as well. Although supposedly some minor changes to Murder Club iOS were made after listening to player feedback. Anyway, here's some youtube gameplay of Murder Club on the iPad ( Link)

If the dual language support goes down well, then I'd imagine they'll update Murder Club with English too. It'll be cool if they did the 1920 series as well, but I don't see that happening.

Unfortunately, that looks unlikely. The Japanese version of Manhattan Requiem is already bilingual. If Althi didn't translate Murder Club for the Japanese version, I doubt they will bother releasing it abroad at all.

Thanks for those al32gabby. There was also a windows version of DC Connection.

On the J.B. Harold news front , Kiss of Murder was recently released for iOS:

Whilst it does indeed say "言語: 日本語, 英語" , there aren't any English screenshots nor do they mention it in the actual description. Think it could be a mistake as I've also seen other Japanese game on the iTunes store that have been erroneously labelled as English.

Also, for the keen followers of my website (the whole 2 of you :P ), I've done a quick 'n dirty list of the different versions of Manhattan Requiem: http://pixelmenu.22web.net/features/jb2/manhattan1.html

You did a very good job, my friend. Congratulations! :D

The article made me wonder if there are any news regarding laseractive emulation...

lol my first idea was to use ボス?>_ (in reference to portopia), but ended using that command prompt instead.

I've no idea about laseractive emulation, but certainly wouldn't mind trying out Blue Chicago Blues. Boggles the mind that the English version is only available for a rare system, whilst the Japanese version was ported to all the other popular consoles :P

At the ROM level, LaserActive titles are simply PC Engine or Mega Drive games and could easily be supported by existing emulators like Ootake or Kega. The problem lies of course in the Laserdic audio/video part, which as far as I know is only supported by Mame and Daphne.

David Michel, the author of Magic Engine, was once interested in having a look at their Laserdic emulation, but unfortunately the development of his emulator has stalled for a few years now.

I'm getting confused here. Which games are available in English? I understand that Murder Club is available for the X6800, but are there any other that is NOT on the itouch?
