I spent some time updating my screenshot list :
- all modifications have been made using Gontajin's list, the most accurate and complete I know of),
- added the original name (game and company) in japanese,
- corrected tons of issues (game in wrong company, name wrong, spelling, ...), added some notes, etc.
- Dan, Macaw and Towns helped me A LOT on IRC, thank you guys !

Unfortunately, only a few new screens were added as I concentrated my efforts on error tracking. I also spent a lot of time trying to convert my shitty html page to pilot it using CSS. I failed, removing the tables is a complete nightmare (any suggestion welcome).

You can download the pack here : *replaced by newer version online*
It is not (yet) available on the website for online consultation as these take hours to upload.

What's next :
- filling missing screens,
- track the last errors,
- sorting the few gigabytes of miscellaneous stuff in my unsorted folder.
- find a better presentation to reduce this monstruous 1Mb html file.

I hope it will help someone.
Cheers, Ben.

Edit : New(er) version online - Cosmetic change mainly, I replaced HTML code by CSS. The page is lighter.

it might not mean much but yeah

i just wanted to say thank you
for all the efforts, time, etc you and the others put into this "database thing"
a couple months ago, when i was starting to get into pc 98 emulation, your database proved to be incredibly useful on countless occasions ; and, well, still is 8)
so,again, thanks and keep on keeping on !

the one thing i don't understand is (and this has been bugging me for a while now) :
there is the "other" western site with a similar concept / idea
wouldn't it be better to "join forces" ?
i mean - the goal is the same
seems to me like a waste of energy..two people doing the same thing ?

sorry if this is a stupid question but well i'm curious

Hopefully you're not talking about JCEC.

Good question.

This database thing was started as a personal project to help me see clearer in what was available after Crokk uploaded me a great deal of images that he had from RaiRai I believe. The games I got then were at best Tosec named and at worse only numbered ... My approach is now sticking to Gontajin's list as "the bible" (as well as Dan's corrections naturally).

Since it was something I did for myself in the first place, I never really considered a collaboration but the idea is seducing.

Let's see what is Ryo's point of view on that matter.

My main problem is not being always available to work on it, hence the *very irregular* updates.

The new database apparently makes FF 3.1 freeze around the 70% mark...

No such problem in IE or (God forbids) Chrome.

Crap. I use a portable version (3.0.5 something) that's why I didn't notice I guess.

I'll see what can be done.

Latest stable Firefox release is 3.0.6

3.1 is beta, maybe the freeze is beta related?

I just had the same problem after updating my extensions. Disabling the "download helper" add-on fixed it.

Good call, Starscream! This plugin was indeed the culprit.

Not sure how I can prevent DH from scanning FMV...

Shit happens.

I had a HDD crash and I'm using the screenshot DB to evaluate the damage. I recovered 90% from an old backup.
Some games were lost, but the good thing is that I'm filling the DB while I sort them. If anyone has some of the "disappeared" games I'd be very grateful for an upload :

*See below for updated progress*

Sorry to hear about your HDD crash, they suck. A lot.

I have three of them, I believe.

Loopz [FD] <- Is this the correct one?
Heater Powerful [FD]
EKUDORADO - Kagami no Naka no Oukoku [HD] <- Is this the correct one?
