I've been helping out Alpharobo for his Guynarock II translation patch. It's just been released! You can get it there: https://archive.org/details/guynarock-ii-eng-patch

While you're waiting for Lakers 2 to be completed (just a question of days now!) and as a little bonus, here are script ports for the three games composing the JAST memorial collection : Runaway City, Season of the Sakura and Three Sisters Story.

Disclaimer : despite being fully playable, they have their share of limitations (check the readme file for info). Consider this to be a beta.

They're downloadable here.

As a last project before taking a sabbatical in 2023, I'm porting the english script of Amy's Fantasies back to the PC-98 version, along with a few additions (relocalized graphics, uncensored CG, PC-9821 soundtrack). First page updated to reflect that :)

Some news :

- Alpharobo updated Guynarock II to include translated graphics. Link https://archive.org/details/guynarock-ii-eng-patch.

- I'm currently slowly making my way through the 12 episodes of Jewel Bem Hunter Lime, as a casual project. I think I'll release the complete set at the end of the year. I'll probably do Exciting Milk afterwards (same engine, same tools, and very short)

Here are a few screenshots :

Alpharobo updated Guynarock II with translated credits. So there's officially not a single trace of japanese text remaining as of version 1.01 :) Link on first post.

Added Shangrlia 2.

If you want to try out the menu patch, here it is. It makes the game fully playable without any knowing of Japanese. You'll just miss the "plot" that is so barebones that it doesn't really matter. That being said, the intro sequence and tutorial are also translated. You can even do a full playthrough, unlock all h-scenes, and watch them again in english when I'm done with the full patch in a few months ^^

Special thanks to Alpharobo for fixing garbled character names in the "Unit List" menu.

Just paste the files into the "SYAN2" folder of the Neo Kobe hdi.

Lime is now 50% done, including proofreading and real hardware testing.

As a recreational project, I've bugfixed two of the infamous Retronomicon translations : Dead of the Brain and Dragon Knight.

Both have been converted to HDI, some softlocks have been corrected, some garbled characters and font issues are no more, and animations work again in Dragon Knight. Oh, they're in patch form now, too. And the scripts are now fully compilable/decompilable by tomyun's "juice" tool.

DOTB is mostly a compilation of fixes found elsewhere (with just 1/3 from me - proper credits in the README file) while all DK fixes are by me.

The script itself hasn't been edited. Know what you are playing ^^

While tinkering with Dragon Knight, I learnt a thing or two about text rendering in AI1 games. So I've released an updated version of Run Run Concerto that ditches the ugly, wide font and puts the text quality on par with the other translated AI1 games. Download link is on the first page.

Alpharobo and I are currently working on porting some early AliceSoft games fantranslations to their original PC-98 version, starting with DPS. Little Vampire will follow, as well as - hopefully - Rance 1/2 and Toushin Toshi.
