PC98 Images : http://pc98.acheronx.com/ relays a romhacking.net download of NP2 announced as version 1.0, but the exe file reads version 0.80. The file comes with a lot of code and various explanations.

Apparently, Ryo-Cockey was able to launch some games that were not previously supported.

But NP2 website lists version 0.82 as being the most recent.

Anyone is aware of this version ?

Guest of AGTP's pantheon (or at least the old one at any rate) added debugging capabilities and save state support to Neko Project II resulting in version 1.0 of Neko-tracer.

Perhaps Ryo-Cokey got those games to work since they operated in version 0.80 and not 0.82. From what it looks like, Guest used the 0.80 source code from Zophar's Domain instead of the 0.81a source code from the emulator's website. Or Guest might have tried both and found the 0.80 source code easier to deal with.

Looks like the base version is actually 0.76, which is already quite old. And this debugger is not that recent since it was released about six months ago. I suppose it doesn't have any S98 V3 logging support?

I think I had the base version 0.76, so it was new to me... but maybe not everyone else.
