Post subject:  Neko Project 21 - Help using virtual F keys

Hey guys,

I decided to give "Pool of Radiance" a shot, but looks like I'm stuck in the "Start Menu".
I need to press F1, F6, F7 or F10 to navigate de menus, but pressing these keys on my keyboard will do nothing.
I tried the Soft Keyboard as well, but no luck. Any ideas?

Thanks!

PS.: using Neko Project 21 0.83k8/fmgen

For correct emulation, you also need to put BIOS files in the folder with the emulator. This is a computer emulator and not nes.
All the necessary files can be found for example here.

Hey bro, thanks for the reply.

My emulator seems to be working fine, I've played most games just fine. My problem with this specific game is the way in which it was implemented, where it is necessary to press F keys to navigate through the menus, e.g. press F1 to create a new character, etc. But pressing F1 on my keyboard will do nothing. I usually get arround with weird keys by using the emulator's soft keyboard, but it didn't help me this time.

In the second game of this series, "Curse of Azure Bonds" they actually implemented a more conventional way to navigate the menus by using arrow keys. So in this game I can play it just fine.

I was wondering if there would be a way to remap the keys or something.

Anyway, happy gaming guys. I'm currently playing Wizardry. Cheers.

Pool of Radiance seems to be an unusual piece of software. With xnp2 (currently pinned to Neko Project 0.86.0), the status line forever indicates loading. Do other emulators fare better?
