Ok, so I remember seeing a game on Yahoo Auction years and years back, I didnt buy it but I remember it vaguely apart from the name.

The game is not dumped I remember, but its definitely in the database lists such as the Gontajin list.

It was about some kind of submarine I think, either that or a spaceship of some kind. I think there was like a typical anime girl main character too.

It was a combination of either strategy or ADV, plus horizontal view shmup (shooting) scenes. I very much remember this from screenshots on the back of the box. I am pretty sure the shmup scenes were underwater, hence the reason I think it was about a submarine like I mentioned before.

I cant remember whether it was an 18+ game or not, but I think it wasnt. It wasnt listed in the adult section of YAJ either when I saw it.

I've tried to search through games on the gontajin list, trying to filter out already dumped games, but still havent come across it.

It is not either of these 2 games:

Thanks for any help, this has been bugging me for years haha.

No it wasnt Felis.

I also remember for sure it wasnt a PC88 port, it used the full resolution of the pc98 spec.

Yeah its not Nadia.

The game I am talking about definitely had a screenshot of a horizontal shooting segment on the back of the box. My memory of how it looked is vague now, but it could be compared to perhaps something like Beat Vice.

I finally found it, it was on auction and thankfully I won it, so I will be able to try dump the disks when I get it.

I was wrong about there being an anime girl, but everything else is just how I remember it from all those years ago. On the back of the box screenshots there's glare covering up most of the last screenshot which is the shot that shows the shooting scenes. Its horizontal shooting though and on the left side is the players ship shooting at the monster.

Congratulations. I saw this lot. I also thought that you were probably looking for this game. But the anime girls are embarrassed.

Congrats, one less mystery to keep you awake :o

I remember searching for years the name of an Atari XL game that I had briefly played as a kid at a friend's place. I had a Spectrum and this game didn't exist on my machine. It was an isometric game which started my love for the genre. Years later, I had all forgotten about it except you controlled a kangaroo on a board. It was a newsgroup on Usenet which came to the rescue by reminding me the correct title: Flip and Flop.

I think it was the first time that "retrogaming" started to mean something to me that day -- although I was still playing on Amiga 1200 back then!
