Always good to see more updates, thanks for the hard work once again. It'll be fun to mess around in Laplace no Ma and Paracelsus no Maken. Also going to check out Garyouden from Hokusho since it looks pretty neat and it's been a long time since I've played a strategy game in that style.

And yeah, our names are a little too similar kobushi. I thought about that when I registered but I got lazy and just kept my usual one.

kobushi and kuoushi - obviously destiny. Like, two siblings (in spirit) working for the greater PC-98 good, accomplishing feats that no one could imagine before, until they appeared and amazed the world with their combined powers. 8)

PC-9801 update.
https://mega.nz/#F!jIgkXQDY!hE3FQNWl77DkzKErGdz35g

Updated folders:
ASCII/LOGiN Disk & Book Series - SimAnt

New folders:
I.S.C.
Ice
Ides
Illusion
Illusion Core
Imagineer
Inos
Interheart
Interprog
Irem

The letter I is done!

**Note about Imagineer games:
Ports of Western games, like the ones published by Imagineer, still have many problems in emulators. There's not much that can be done until the emulators improve. However, this is one area where Anex86 is still useful. For these types of games, Anex86 usually has the highest rate of success. Obviously these games will also work fine on real hardware.

Not sure how much help this will be kobushi, but I found these and it looks like they might contain some dumps that you don't have in the Neo Kobe collections, as well as a bunch of doujin games.

Not really sorted beyond by system and pack. Hopefully you can find some useful extras in there to include in Neo Kobe!

Thanks kuoushi, that's a great find!

I have a big pile of doujin stuff to go through after the retail software is finished, so hopefully we'll see some more hidden gems come to light.
Next update is almost ready. Koei took a long time to organize...

Great work Kobushi and appreciate all the hard work you are doing.

The Policenauts cd image is in not in the usual bin/cue format. Is there any reason it is in img/ccd/sub?

Also is it a 1:1 image from your retail cd?

All CD images in the PC-9801 set are ccd/img/sub for consistency. bin/cue is less than ideal because of the way it statically defines filenames in the cue, and also because it doesn't include subchannel data, so you're not getting a 1:1 copy of the disc. We have already discovered several CDs that do not work properly without subchannel data, so a bin/cue dump would be useless in those cases.

The Policenauts disc is not a direct ccd dump, but it is a lossless conversion from a known good image.

Thanks for another great update! Was looking forward to seeing what you had for Micro Cabin (Elmknight CD, fucking nice).

Along those lines, I had a question about Illusion City. What are these two English disks? I realize it's just a simple and incomplete menu translation and not much else, but where did they come from? I looked into the files and the modified by date for these is at the end of '91 and beginning of '92 (around when the PC-98 version came out). Is it an abandoned official translation that they were working on while finishing up the PC-98 port? And if so, how did these disks even get out?

Super interesting, man.
