Added more dumps to the folders. And Mahjong Masai which I think I missed earlier somehow.

You guys are doing an awesome work, thank you very much! The quality of those is astounding and I hope no one will mind me dl-ing everything (laughs) since some of those may even help me in some of my work.

Is there any chance that someone here has the scans for Briganty tho? (If someone has posted it already and I haven't seen it, sorry - I tried to look inside all the links before asking)

BTW site is back up. Moved hosting as I found a much cheaper one.

All PC98 games I was able to dump are dumped now as well.

Got skype or some form of instant messaging Hubz? Really interested on participating on this scan project and can help a little, too.

Also thank you for your hard work around here.

Nintendo has put up some manual repro scans here.
https://www.nintendo.co.jp/clv/manuals/ja/

Aside from having old phone numbers and addresses removed, they seem to be faithful to the originals.

Here are two more PC98 scans I made today.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/gp4feip3l ... s_Alba.zip
http://www.mediafire.com/file/eu54doqxc ... accato.zip

I couldn't dump either game as both had damaged floppies.

Locus Alba already has a dump, I don't know if Staccato has been dumped. I discovered it when ripping this Mac demo disc. http://macintoshgarden.org/games/chottomi-50
It requires Windows 3.1, but the floppies were 1.25MB formatted (aka PC98). Unfortunately it seems to be a rare game.

Edit: al32gabby sent me a dump of Staccato, so I'll extract the files and repost it for playing in DOSbox. Good thing I scanned the manual before binning it since there are copy protection codes inside.

Here are the contents of Staccato floppies in a folder. Mount the folder as floppy disk in DOSbox, and you can install it from there.

http://www.mediafire.com/file/pyit4dtdl ... DOSbox.zip

I played 2 stages and it seems to work fine. I didn't get any copy protection windows either, maybe it was hacked out.

BakuDD, thanks for uploading new scans in this thread. I'm working on a project currently that I hope to share with everyone soon, but I was wondering if you might be able to provide me a list of the following sometime:

1. PC-98 Games you Own / Have been scanned so far
2. Are they CIB, missing contents such as manuals?
3. What all has been scanned? Box, Manual, Disks, Extra contents or nothing yet.

That would be a huge help. I'm gathering a list of what has been scanned or potentially could be scanned because they are owned by someone in the community already.

Thanks for your help!

-Thomas

I've already scanned the two PC98 specific games I own: Locus Alba, and Kumdol No Ken
Some of my older Windows games like Alexworld might say "compatible with PC98" on them, but I dont think that really counts

Thank you bakuDD! I've added your PC-98 scans to the full list I've compiled below.

I'm happy to announce that I've more or less finished an up-to-date HTML spreadsheet with known PC-98 titles that have available scans for manuals, boxes, disks, and any extras if applicable sorted by publisher.

http://pc98central.com/PC-98_Scanned_Manual_List.html

I've also got one that is a work-in-progress for PC-88 as well.

http://pc98central.com/PC-88_Scanned_Manual_List.html

The idea of this list is to show what all is out there and index it so that we know what has currently been scanned and is available, and also, what could be and who to reach out to for contact if there was a request to have made for having that particular title scanned.

You'll notice that most of the scans that are already in the big manual archive floating around are set to ? by default in terms of quality. That is mainly because I haven't had time to go through each of the manuals and check to see if they are poor scans or if text isn't legible.

I'm hoping this will be of good use to the community and I plan to update it according to the data I receive or read about.

I also have the following recently scanned, including a new dump of something I don't believe was previously dumped, The Cockpit.

The Cockpit (Compac)
http://retro-type.com/scans/thecockpit/

Appareden - Fukuryuu no Shou CD (TGL) (Our next fan-translation project!)

Different Realm (Glodia)

Dies Irae - PC-9821 CD (Family Soft) Scans provided by Rockleevk
http://retro-type.com/scans/Dies%20Irae ... 9821%20CD/

Keep the preservation scene alive! :)

BPS Tetris manual is here:
https://archive.org/details/Tetris1988BPSJP

It's labeled as MSX, but it's actually a multi-platform manual :).

Mocagh also has some stuff for PC98/9801, use the advanced search for the systems and check "has pdf".

That looks like a good resource. Of course many manual scans are also available from Project EGG's catalog, but you have to buy the game first. Here is what I have from Project EGG:

PC88
Wibarm
How Many Robot
The Scheme
Asteka
Silpheed

PC98
Xak III
Fray
The Tower Of Cabin
Hamlet
Zavas
Rune Worth (Data Handbook - no manual)

X68000
Knight Arms (+ box)
Square Resort
War Torn Versnag
Bretonne Lais

FM7
Chou Senshi Zaider

X1
Euphory

For PC88 I also have Demon's Ring (low quality) and Megami Tensei. I don't recall where these were downloaded.
I plan on reuploading my japanese console game manuals later this month. I took it down due to feral hosting shitting the bed for a while, but that issue seems to have been resolved.

Thank you both for the updates.

All of this has been updated on the PC-88 and PC-98 lists:
