NPTH is compatible with the AGTH for most games.

Amazing, thank you. Version of the emulator with support for cd-rom expect?
It works better than the emulator Anex86. Support COCKTAIL SOFT and Fairytale game.

I think the source code can be downloaded here.
np2_083kai8VC6a mod
https://www.assembla.com/code/transproj ... ators/pc98

Do you think you can create something similar for pc88 emulator and other emulator consoles and conputer.

Haha. I thought "Neil Patrick Harris" when I saw the thread title.

Thanks, Playerx, this is great.
And not to look a gift horse in the mouth and be all demanding, but al32gabby is right, this would be awesome for PC88. (sorry to sound spoilt;ignore me)

Really, thanks a lot! :)

Thank you for providing source code, although not used.
At present, did not consider, I don't know about pc88.

I've never played the CD version, so it may not work.
Support the cd-rom format is not much.

......

Thank you so much, everything works fine. Now this is the best version of the emulator.

Does anyone know who created that version? With contact info if possible.

If you manage to reach the creator, tell him there are still many VNs hookable with bugs and distorted text (Abunai Tengu Densetsu, Tenshi-tachi no Gogo 5, Sweet Emotion, Gakuen Bakuretsu Tenkousei, some more D.O. and ZyX games etc.)

Moved to Windows 10 and found out (if launched with AGTH) NPTH crashes if you try to open any floppy/HDI image. Potentially you can launch it without AGTH, use the savestate, exit, launch with AGTH, load savestate and it will work (or maybe it won't hook even that way), but if you prefer floppies instead of HDIs and don't use savestates - you're doomed. I wonder if there's a way to fix it  Yes, I've seen newer topics with newer NP2 versions, but they probably don't support text hooking which is absolutely essential to me. But please remind me if some of them do.

Glad to see some activity around, also wanted to ask:

Has anyone tested if it works with ITH? Its like a "successor" to the good old AGTH.

Many thanks.

Sometimes it does, sometimes (more often >_> ) is doesn't. Good old AGTH is still the best to handle symbols' and phrases' repetitions (which are very often in PC98 VNs). Textractor is the better option (but AGTH is still preferable for me in case of PC98 emulation), also only special fixed version of ITH works on Win10.

I got the source code from PlayerX and sent it to the developer of NP21/W, now the latest version of NP21/W also supports text hooking!

The following H-codes are required to use Textractor on NP21/W
/HS4@0:kernel32.dll:lstrlenA
/HQ4@0:kernel32.dll:lstrlenW
