BUT, Can Run ≠ Working properly :!:

i play this game , tha game map not show,so,you can't move that fighter

i *think* "ARGEES.FIX" Only a game disk, miss a Scenario disk.

The Game Manual said:

1、USE Game disk and Scenario disk Boot ----> make a "User Disk"
2、USE Game disk and User disk play game.

But,have no Scenario disk, SO can not make user disk.
have no user disk, so can not play game

The good news is: this game also have PC88 Version, i already test, Working properly, :D

"ARGEES.FIX" is protected

use Wizard98 v5.

and...

1.use the np2 that changed the clock magnification to 2.
or ePC98DO,relatively low clock emulator.
2.start with "Game disk" and "blank.d88".
3.continue to press the F12 (Copy key in PC98) at the timing immediately after the sound was heard of "Pipo".
you can start in the user disk creation mode.
When the timing of pressing the F12 key is bad, you become the opening demo (NG).

Оh many thanks delikea

Several years ago, we tried to solve this problem, but failed. We did not have a manual.

viewtopic.php?f=1&t=493

I saw that the original game has a single floppy diskette. But fa123 knocked me up Scenario disk

Awesome! I think this is the same developer as Cosmic Soldier: Psychic War? I love that game, and the art style looks similar.

Yeah, it's Kogado Soft. Cosmic Psycho shifted them from eroge to CRPGs; Argees was one such game they made in the middle of that period, before Schwarzschild and Power DoLLS became the mainstays.

Hi fa123,

I could see the "corrputed" screen you upload.

When you run "Review", you can see 4 choices on the black screen:

- MIDIシステム
- その他のシステム
- 初めてプレイするときに
- HELP

The 3rd one "初めてプレイするときに" means "Warning at first play", which says that

"You NEVER load if you play first time, or it causes errors depends on your machine type."

Then, in your first play, you shouldn't LOAD ("途中から") before you SAVE in the game.

And why not trying NekoProject II ?
I could play the game without error successfully, even with the images you upload.

The main things to remember in case we encounter this problem again:
1) If we change the header to "VFD1.00", VFIC will correctly recognize the fdd format and convert, or
2) We can manually convert fdd files by deleting the first 50,171 bytes, and manually padding the end of the file.

sorry to bump this old part of the thread, but I studied a bit the .FDD format to add support for it to MESS, and padding the end of the file might not be the correct procedure if an incompatible file is found ;)

as described here
viewtopic.php?f=1&t=1132&p=14547#p14547
any sector of the disk can be missing from the raw data starting at 0xC3FC, and you have to check the sector map at the beginning of the file to see where the padding has to go (and which value to use for padding) :)
