can writeback some falcom old games floppy images by real machine you must have a real machine 1 clean disk , using diskimage 1.31 write back this Attachment: floppy image by 125mode2 add MAHALITO (http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dos/util/se000604.html) in your neko project II hard disk image. and startup it 3 insert game diskimage (e.g. Ys I , ED1, ..etc.) in emulator 4 using MAHALITO (command: mahalito a [driveletter]: [imagename] )make a spec floppy image in emulator makesure file was created , so , close emulator, 5 try to copy this imagefile and MAHALITO to real machine , 6 using command in real machine (mahalito e [imagename] [driveletter]:) to writeback floppy image. 7 all done defect: 1 can't writeback normal 1.25m and YsIII images 2 can't dump from floppy , |

Hi, About steps 1-4 -- it's simpler to just use VFIC to convert disk images to MAHALITO format, then write back on real machine. No emulator required. About defect 1: MAHALITO can definitely write normal 1.25MB images. You don't even have to format the floppy disk first, so it's very fast. About defect 2: MAHALITO can definitely dump UNprotected floppy disks. But most Falcom games are heavily protected, so you need to use a filer like Wizard. |
