you must have a real machine

1 clean disk , using diskimage 1.31 write back this

2 add MAHALITO (http://www.vector.co.jp/soft/dos/util/se000604.html) in your neko project II hard disk image. and startup it

3 insert game diskimage (e.g. Ys I , ED1, ..etc.) in emulator

4 using MAHALITO (command: mahalito a [driveletter]: [imagename] )make a spec floppy image in emulator makesure file was created , so , close emulator,

5 try to copy this imagefile and MAHALITO to real machine ,

6 using command in real machine (mahalito e [imagename] [driveletter]:) to writeback floppy image.

7 all done

Hi,

About steps 1-4 -- it's simpler to just use VFIC to convert disk images to MAHALITO format, then write back on real machine. No emulator required.

About defect 1: MAHALITO can definitely write normal 1.25MB images. You don't even have to format the floppy disk first, so it's very fast.
About defect 2: MAHALITO can definitely dump UNprotected floppy disks. But most Falcom games are heavily protected, so you need to use a filer like Wizard.
